THE CHICAGOATTIC SALE. On 6th October 2009 an online auction lot ended for the respectable price of just under US$700. The reason for this healthy sale price was that the lot included a number of 'prototype' videopacs.

The lot description read: "From a former Magnavox employee, this lot of early 1980's Odyssey 2 games, game console and rare prototype games. All kept in a cool dry storage area for the past 25 years. All the games, nearly as new, in original boxes, plus prototypes, as marked. I have not tried the game system to see if it works, but it looks clean and well-kept, so it should be in good working condition. Rare stuff for the Odyssey buff!".

The following was the only other information the seller was able to give me: "he told me he was in sales management and was given these as samples and to show to prospective customers for demo and feedback purposes".
